Delete your GasUp account
GasUp — published by GasUp, Inc.
The fastest way is in the app
Open GasUp, go to the Account tab, tap Privacy & data controls, type DELETE to confirm, and submit. That path gives you a 7-day window to change your mind.
No longer have the app? Use the form to request deletion instead. You do not need to reinstall GasUp or sign back in.
What happens after you request deletion
- We confirm it's you first. We reply to the email address you submitted and ask you to confirm the request from that address. We do this because an unverified form submission can't prove who owns an account.
- Then we delete the account.Once you've confirmed, deletion is carried out and is permanent — a request made through this form has no cancelable waiting period. If you want a window to change your mind, delete from inside the app instead: that starts a 7-day grace period you can reverse at any point before it ends.
- You don't need to cancel anything first. There is no separate subscription-cancellation step. Deleting your account cancels any active GasUp subscription automatically. (If you request deletion inside the app, billing pauses immediately, the moment you submit.)
- Legal holds can delay it.If a legal hold applies to your account, deletion is paused until the hold is released, and we'll tell you.
- How long it takes. We action deletion requests submitted here within 30 days of receiving them, and usually much sooner.
What we delete
Deleting your account removes your sign-in identity — so you can no longer sign in — along with your profile, saved addresses, vehicles, payment methods, booking and delivery history, subscriptions, and support messages.
What persists, and why
We want to be straight with you about the parts we can't erase on request:
- Payment processor records. Our payment processor, Stripe, keeps its own record of transactions to meet its financial and legal obligations. We can't remove those on request.
- Encrypted backups. Residual copies of your data remain in encrypted database backups until those backups age out on their normal rotation schedule, after which they are overwritten.
- Records we're required to keep. Where the law requires it, we retain limited records such as tax, fraud-prevention, and payment-dispute history.
